With a focus on in-country development, our programs promote activities with a duration of 7-10 days in order to achieve maximum local engagement and provision of clinical services. Team funding is currently capped at $12,500 per activity, however please include all anticipated costs for the activity to assist in future planning.
The process for funding proposals is as follows:
- All applications for funding must be received in line with the deadlines posted below, in order to allow ample time for Program, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee review and discussion. This may include seeking additional information from team leaders if required.
- Finance and Audit Committee allocate funding available for Program activities.
- This is then considered and approved by the Orthopaedic Outreach Board.
- Programs, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, assess the development goals of the project, the anticipated impact in-country and how this will be evaluated, volunteer team composition, anticipated costings, and any supplementary funding sources.
- Recommendations are taken to the Board on approvals and any unsuccessful applications.
