Orthopaedic Outreach enjoys access to the near 1700 members of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, providing tremendous backing for the wide-ranging projects and activities required in developing countries. This expertise delivers professional guidance in credentialing and examining, surgical techniques and patient clinical assessment. Orthopaedic Outreach is extremely grateful for the financial and physical support received from the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Stryker

Stryker is proud to support Orthopaedic Outreach with both medical equipment donations and through the Stryker Outreach Travelling Award. The Stryker Outreach Travelling Award provides funding for several Orthopaedic registrars to accompany consultant surgeons on international aid expeditions each year. The award aims to expose Registrars to the Orthopaedic Outreach philosophy, provide an opportunity for Registrars to experience different surgical settings and provide additional surgical resources to the Outreach nations. Since the award was introduced in 2005, over 50 Registrars have travelled to nations such as Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Samoa, and Timor Leste.

Allegra Orthopaedics

Allegra Orthopaedics has been proudly supporting Orthopaedic Outreach for many years, with supplies of upper and lower limb medical devices and consumables. The level of support provided by Allegra Orthopaedics enables Outreach surgeons access to high quality international, as well as Australian designed and manufactured implants for use in surgeries throughout the Asia Pacific region.

At Orthopaedic Outreach, we acknowledge the contributions from Orthopaedics SA, South Australia’s largest private orthopaedic group.
